يرى الحكماء القدامى الحياة كمحيطٍ كبيرٍ مضطرب، والإنسان هو قبطان مصيره، أي سفينته. مهما صعبت الظروف التي يواجهها، أيّ إنسانٍ حرّ الإرادة يعرف أنه سيلقى حتفه إذا ما توقّف عن القيادة. يذكّرني هذا التشبيه باقتباسٍ جميل من آينشتاين: "الحياة مثل ركوب الدراجة: إذا توقّفتَ عن التقدّم، ستفقد توازنك!" إذا ما نظرنا إلى مصير لبنان، سنرى أن أحداثه تزداد اضطراباً منذ فترة. إنتكاسةٌ بعد الأخرى، تبقى الديناميكية واحدة: التدهور. فالترابط بين السياسة والاقتصاد هو فعل الواقع ويضع لبنان وشعبه عند طريقٍ مسدود يبدو وكأنه لن ينفرج قريبًا. يمرّ لبنان بأزماتٍ عدّة: أزمةٌ إقتصادية حادة مع معدل تضخّم هائل. فخبير التضخّم ستيف هانك يضع بلاد الأرز مرتبتين وراء فينزويلا فقط! أضف إلى ذلك أزمة مالية غير مسبوقة زعزعت ثقة الأسواق. فلبنان أعلن رسميًا عدم قدرته على سداد دينه بالعملة الأجنبية الذي يصل إلى ٣٥ . ١ مليار (حتى شهر آب من عام ٢٠٢٠ )، ما يغرق البلد في أزمة سيولة، نظرًا إلى محدودية الاحتياطات لدى مصرف لبنان، فضلًا عن نقص الدولارات في سوق "مدولر". لذلك، تنهار القدرة الشرائية لدى اللبنا...

Ancient doctrines perceive life as a wide agitated ocean. Man is the commander of his own destiny: his ship. Even if the circumstances at hand seem to be difficult, any man of free will knows that he will meet his maker as soon as he ceases to command. This metaphor reminds me of a nice quotation by Einstein: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving!” If we take a look at Lebanon’s destiny, we see constantly-worsening agitation in its events occurring for some time now. Shock after shock, these vexations remain in line with one unique dynamic: decline. The interdependence of politics and the economy is the rule.   Les anciennes sagesses perçoivent la vie comme étant un vaste océan agité. L’homme représente le commandant de sa destinée : son navire. Même si les circonstances qui prévalent semblent être difficiles, le libre arbitre sait qu’il atteindra sa fin dès lors qu’il cesse de commander. Cette métaphore me rappelle d’une belle citation d’Einstein : « La vie est une bicyclette, il ne faut jamais arrêter de pédaler pour ne pas perdre l’équilibre ! ». Si nous nous penchons sur la destinée du Liban, nous constatons une agitation dégradante de ces événements depuis un certain temps. Coup après coup, ces vexations restent fidèles à une seule et unique dynamique : le déclin ! L’interdépendance entre le politique et l’économique serait le dicton de l’actualité.
